Day Three: April 26, 2005

I walked my feet off with Simon the bushman.  We went up and down lots of hills looking for a Nyala.  After about 3 hours of walking I shot a very very good blue wildebeast at about 80 yards. 

The shot was between the eyes.  He went right down.  The bullet was recovered in the back of his skull.  The bullet was still in tact.  I gave it to Sam Fadala for his collection.

This particular bull was a spectacular bull and will make a nice shoulder mount. Johan laughed at me.  “You Americans and your head and neck shots.”
