V. Kay Curtis, J.D.

With an undergraduate degree in early childhood education, Kay later got her law degree from the University of Oklahoma.  As editor and author for the Oklahoma Law Review, she earned several awards for published articles.

Her legal career includes private practice with a law firm in a rural community in Nebraska, and corporate practice in the legal departments of two global companies in the Kansas City metropolitan area, Employers Reinsurance Corporation (USA) and Benfield Blanch (UK). 

Next she spent a year as Deputy Campaign Manager to elect Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline in 2002.

Doors opened in a new direction with a career in financial planning,  first with Morgan Stanley on the Plaza, then with Lawing Financial Group in Overland Park, Kansas.


Robert D. Curtis, M. Div.

Graduating from Bethany Nazarene College, then Princeton Theological Seminary, Bob was a Presbyterian Minister serving in Oklahoma and Nebraska. 

Bob's job as Treasurer of the Synod of Mid-America moved the family to Kansas in 1990.  As CEO of the Church Development Corporation, he raised funds for church related construction projects.

Next he became CEO of Sunflower Centers of Kansas, one of 27 community mental health centers in the state.  

Currently Bob manages the Johnson County Kansas District Attorney's Office Victim Assistance Unit in Olathe, Kansas.
